In life you will experience certain pains that are worse than others. In my opinion, I think toothache and tooth pain are amongst the worse pain a human being can experience. Believe me when I say this – When you suffer from tooth pain you really suffer as there is little relief available . You can’t eat, drink, and even breathing can cause you the most sever sharp pain imaginable. The only thing you need in that moment of your life is tooth pain relief.
You may be asking what can you do when tooth pain strikes? You have two options. You can either try home remedies yourself or you can go and visit your dentist. There are pros and cons to both of these options which will now be analysed.
Within this article I want to explain my experiences to you and give you the pros and cons on both options. Hopefully you will then be able to judge what is right for your tooth pain relief. The first and instinctive reaction will be to contact the dentist for help and advice. This is what most people will do as they believe an expert, the dentist, will know straight away how to relief us from this pain and will do everything in their power to deal with this problem efficiently. However, this will be costly and is a dentist going to control the pain instead of curing the pain? Who knows? If I was a dentist I know that controlling the pain is more beneficial to my wallet. Dentists also have access to many prescription drugs that can be administer to you in order to take away some of the pain. As mentioned earlier though – visiting a dentist will result in booking appointments, time off work etc which can be very costly.
Home remedies are an option that is over looked sometimes through the lack of knowledge. They may seem like the last resort or wild card but home remedies have been around much longer than drugs and dentists and have worked effectively and efficiently for centuries.
If you are looking around for home remedies to relieve your tooth pain then you need to find items that have antibacterial agents. We don’t mean your kitchen cleaner, think about foods that you have. Items that can reduce the pain include garlic and rock salt. These can take a little time to be effective. There is a theory that if you chew raw garlic everyday it can strengthen your teeth. The same can be said for onion which has a number of antibacterial agents, the onion can be put directly on the tooth pain and you should feel relief almost instantly.
So, summing up; if you are a tad strapped for cash or you have a deep fear of the dentist, there are many home remedies available for tooth pain relief that could be waiting to help you find relief in your kitchen! With the prices that some dentists charge today, it isn’t hard to see why so many of us are looking towards home remedies.
